Annual events- Rutland Open Studios tops the list of annual events in the area, showcasing a magnificent variety of works by visual arts in and around Rutland. Famous location- Uppingham’s biggest claim to fame is its participation in the popular film Harry Potter, shot on location at Uppingham School. This independent school was established in1584 and is home to the largest school playing field in the whole of England.

Art- Artdejardin in the village of Wing, holds yearly exhibitions showcasing the works of 21 local contemporary artists, ranging from sculpture to glass, metal, ceramic, oak and stone furniture.
